Many impact claims are based on outputs such as the number of people reached or on ESG metrics. But these indicators, while useful, do not prove that an investment caused meaningful change. At causal invest, we believe private capital deserves more: rigorous, scientific evaluations that isolate causal impact i.e. the difference made because of the intervention. We help investors understand what worked, for whom, and why.

For decades, public policy has relied on causal impact evaluations — such as randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-experimental designs (DiD, RDD, etc.) — to understand what truly works. We adapt these methods to the needs of investors, ensuring evaluations are both feasible and aligned with financial realities.
